It was just one of those days, we collected something on six of the seven events -- but just not in a way that sent the bankroll over the top. For instance, while we did manage one tri on the afternoon, we had three of the top four in three other contests without hitting the gimmick. At Turfway we grabbed a decent 3-1 winner on top but missed on $6 worth of exactas when our second pick missed the place spot by a head. You just have to take solace in the fact that the handicapping was solid and some flukey results (we couldn't have played the 63-1 Great Lakes Downs shipper that completed the exacta at Tampa) kept the afternoon from turning out much better...

Zonk...Came into this race last year in somewhat similar fashion and won. Plenty of speed in here today so that same stalking run used in this event in '02 will be helpful.
With Ability...Probably would rate top pick dropping back to a better distance today -- but there is some speed to contend with. Still, this one might be the class of the speed and will be tough.
Pocus Hocus...More speed. Only loss over the inner track had an excuse. It will all come down to how the first half-mile plays out.

Windsor Castle...Dusted in Cigar Mile but two-turn trip might suit better. Coming into this race in better form than last year when he ran third.
Hail The Chief...Likes the track and the trip and we'll look for a rebound with return of Chavez.

Ebony Breeze...Mott filly seemed to break through after arriving in Florida. Broke maiden last time at Calder by nine.
Just Bill Me...Undefeated in three starts including a minor Calder stake last time.
Holiday Runner...Very promising 2YO filly last summer. Faltered in G1 Spinaway, off since and moved from the DW Lukas barn but might prove a little too classy to keep off the board in here.

Century City...Promising Euro-import has missed in two turf tries. Switches to dirt and adds blinkers. Works say the surface might suit.
Tracemark...Showed some promise in 3YO stakes early last year. Returned from layoff to just miss last month. Should be nicely prepped for this.
Pass Rush...A decent 2002 on the B-level stakes circuit. Capable of being there with best effort.
