Things would have been a lot better if our Sheppard Special had a clean trip. Angel Terrace went off at 6-1 [down from 12-1 ML] in the featured Waya [R9]. Bottled up but looking like she had plenty of run in the lane - things took a turn for the worse when all momentum was lost at about the sixteenth pole when she was bothered by another. From the chart: "...finished willingly but lost any chance." Ouch!

The opening session of the Fasig-Tipton yearling sales kicked off at 7pm on Monday night. The place was jam-packed for much of the evening - so crowded that it was tough to walk through the backyard bar mob scene for awhile. Monday's results were positive and the crowd was treated to a couple of sales that reached seven figures.
No racing. Dark day.
