Don't forget to check out the Challenge page where we started the month with a mythical $1200 bankroll and attempt to increase that amount as the Saratoga season continues.

Yesterday

2-11. Winners in the 8th [$6.40] and 11th [$6.80]. Highlight of the day however was the three B-A reverse exactas - in the 3rd [$40.40], 4th [$53.00] and 7th [$26.80]. The disappointment of the afternoon was our 19-1 "A" pick Emollient taking the lead late in R2 but not being able to hold off the eventual winner - and losing by a mere half length. You can get an idea on the bankroll challenge page just how that affect us - with the near-miss costing us what would have been a very nice P4.

Announced attendance was 57,187 - but, of course, that number was inflated by 'spinners' picking up the popular fleece blanket giveaway. The weather continued to be warm and sunny. Later on the Final Stretch music fest continued downtown, on Broadway, where crowds enjoyed both the nice weather and the music.

Today

RACE ONE
So Outspoken...It's a Pletcher/Repole 2YO debuting at Saratoga. By Bernardini. Dam's first.
Frac Daddy...Some pedigree punch on top - not necessarily from the dam. Trainer can have them ready as well.
Dominate...Nature and nuture with sire and trainer. Sib Mr Whitestone was tenth in debut then won next two.
Noble Tune.

RACE TWO
Carson Hall...Trainer and owner having a good meet and have to feel the drop will only help chances today.
Concert Stage...Riding a 4-race streak and the red-hot Dominguez rides.
Flamin' Hot...Has some closing punch and is another taking a step down.
Veiled Prpophet.

RACE THREE
Birchwood Road...Debut was a solid foundation.
Holy Endeavor...Stretched out on grass nicely.
West Hills Giant...Yet another that should benefit from the first-out education.
Irish Jade.

RACE FOUR
Coosada...Can't ignore the trainer's number first off the claim.
Settle for Medal...Might prove interesting with the jock switch.
So Scott...First off claim for potent claiming owner/trainer team.
Omniscient.

RACE FIVE
Lea the Punisher...First off the claim and first at this reduced level on turf.
Scott's Aly Cat...Latest seems to show fitness and they'll get the surface they've been shopping for recently.
Rough Winter...Won this track and trip last time.
We Need VLTs.

RACE SIX
Revolutionary...Worked 10.2 before sale. Sib Tafaseel third in debut, won next two. Sib Ice Road won second career start.
Favor Factor...AE. Precociously-bred with Harlan's Holiday on top.
Stage Street...Third-time starter for Asmussen and first two were OK.
Clawback.
Almost english.

RACE SEVEN
Welcome Guest...Brown/Dominguez runner showed some promise earlier this year.
Brilliant Katie...Just missed in latest. Should be right there again today.
Sly Warrior...Seems to be out-running original owner's expectations. But numbers are improving and looks to fit here.
Media Starlett.
Crespano.

RACE EIGHT - G3 $150K Glens Falls
Hit It Rich...Really went back and forth on top two here but eventually settled here. Seems perhaps in slightly better form than Kissable
Kissable...But it won't shock to see this one run well.
Bizzy Caroline...Capable on best.
Thislilsoulofmine.

RACE NINE - G2 $300K Hopeful
Overanalyze...Impressed in debut for Pletcher/Repole - but stretching out to 7F is a new ballgame, as we saw in the Spinaway on Sunday.
Shanghai Bobby...Uncoupled Pletcher trainee is already a stakes-winner.
Fortify...Solid in debut for potent connections.
Show Some Magic.

RACE TEN
Plainview...AE. In a race with plenty of speed this might be the speed of the speed.
Unbridled Fire...Might be able to stalk and pounce but with this post that will depend on the first furlong.
Fizzano...This one on the other hand probably will be decently positioned early.
King Kid.
Burn the Mortgage.

RACE ELEVEN
Stormy Acre...Drops slightly and should benefit from the first-out education.
Santonio d'Oro...Seems on the improve.
Zajal...Ambitiously-placed last time. Better fit here.
Dendrite.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halves are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
