Yesterday

1-10. It was a struggle on Thursday. We avoided the oh-fer by scoring in the nightcap with our lone winner on top [R10 $6.70]. Reverse exacta in the 3rd [$18.40/$2]. Top four selections boxed up for gimmicks in the 6th. And it was the 3rd selection over top pick for an exacta in the 5th [$11.80/$2]. Otherwise, as noted, it was a tough day.

10,268 turned out. Not a bad crowd considering the apocalyptic weather forecasts heard throughout the morning on the local media. Wild storms, hail, potential for tornadoes was the prediction - but that turned out to be some of the worst handicapping on the day. Weather actually turned out to be OK. Warm, some sun. No rain.

Twice the Lady...Beyers improving. Perhaps overmatched last time. Spotted better today.
My Sunshine Gal...Also moving out of stakes company.
Strike the Moon...Makes the PID synthetic-to-dirt move.

Centring/Closing Move...Centring very tough off of the comeback effort.
Joya Real...Was intriguing with the possibility of getting 'fast' going - but has run OK over the last three on off tracks.
Zayanna...Could come back as an improved performer off of the 2YO to 3YO layoff.

Coach AJ...Beaten at 4-5 in debut after a speed duel. Might sneak away today.
Stage Street...Second time out for Asmussen is a potent angle.
Titletown Five...Just behind Gulfport last time and that one will be heavily favored in a MSW here tomorrow.
