Yesterday

1-10. Winner in the 7th [$6.80]. Also, top two flip-flopped for the exacta in the 2nd [$24.20/$2]. Same scenario in the 3rd for the exacta [$18.40] with our fourth selection completing the tri [$41.80].

Attendance was 13,959. Weather was wacky: Rain early which washed a couple of the turf races onto the main -- and sunshine by the end of the day.

Galloping Grapes: A New York Wine Event... Backyard event showcasing more than a dozen wineries from across New York State.

FIRST RACE
Money's Sweet...Rice trainee broke her maiden last time - but this isn't much of a leap into NW2L.
Roaring Belle...Trouble last time. Steep drop and speed shown two back might prove formidable.
Straight A Student...Turf-to-dirt. Class drop. Jock switch. Some things to like.

SECOND RACE
Avanta...By a win-early sire and the dam produced a debut winner. This one's first try wasn't bad and now makes the potent MSW to mdn clm'r move.
Caribbean Lady...Also MSW to mdn clm'r.
Double Delicious...Firster by Songandaprayer.
Maria's Luck.

THIRD RACE - Loudonville $70K
Nonna Mia...Might be tough if she's able to sneak away early - but that won't be easy.
Lisa's Booby Trap...Sentimental fave [watch the video if you haven't already seen it] gets tested for class here.
Zermatt...Barnmate to top pick is lightly-raced and could be this good.
Funny Feeling.

FOURTH RACE
Quick to Charm...Seems to fit at this level and comes out of a nice win in first start of 2010.
Big Stick...Clearly capable on best effort.
Keeping the Honor...A good second last time this price tag.

On dirt: Pictural, Tommasi, Run With the Lark, Hurricane Heat, Dantastic.

FIFTH RACE
Karen's Joy...Showed some life in the debut. Now takes a big drop.
Rani Baba...Has shown some speed in first two and with this additional drop shew might sustain today.
Pelican Lake...Clearly the hope here is that the move from MSW company provides a wake-up.
She Wears the Best.

SIXTH RACE
Chardonniere...Second to the talented Ash Zee last time. Bred to win sooner rather than later.
Samra Alajwad...4YO making only her second start - and it's off a layoff. But 7/19 work was fast.
Vinda...Should go well here - if she takes to the turf.
Fandangle.

SEVENTH RACE
Cheyenne Nation...Trainer going well at the meet. Just broke maiden - but maybe the light-bulb turned on for this one.
Ground Frost...Wouldn't be a shock to see Voss win with a jumper here.
Ordination...Might be tempted to spot this one higher but Clement is cool at the meet.
Premium Gold.
On dirt: Callide Valley, More Than Willing, Dr DFC, Malibu Moonshine, BZ Warrior.

EIGHTH RACE - Johns Call $70K
Attempted Humor...Flopped last time but those graded 1M turf stakes can be salty. Look for a rebound here.
Dry Martini...Should be rolling late.
Solitaire...Won this race last year.
Romp.
Silver Mountain.

NINTH RACE
Makeminechocolate...Improving Beyers. Just looks like the one to beat.
Lateday Edition...Capable of contending with the top pick on best effort.
Moonwalk Beauty...Ran well last time with blinkers added. AE list.
