2-10. Winners in the 1st [$7.40] and 6th [$11.40]. A couple of nice reverse exactas on the day -- in the 4th [$90.50/$2, plus cold quinella $59.50] and the 10th [$27.60].

18,452 attended -- a surprising figure, at least visually. The crowd, though slightly less, looked larger on Wednesday -- but it was no surprise that fans turned out on both afternoons because we might be in the midst of the longest streak of nice weather seen upstate so far this spring-summer. Another picture-perfect day on Thursday.

In an oddity, jockey Danielle Hodsdon won the steeplechase opener -- only four days after winning a race on the flat!

Politicos spotted in the paddock prior to the co-featured Morrissey: Albany mayor Jerry Jennings, also, former NY state Senate Majority Leader Joe Bruno.

FIRST RACE
Crazy Catlady...Beyers seems to give this one an edge.
Eightyfive S...A claim-back last time. Fits here.
Bella Attrice...A little bit dull recently -- but if she rebounds in her fourth start of the season to last year's top numbers, watch out.
Bobs Pinup Girl.
On dirt: Loquacious Lil, Bobs Pinup Girl, Golden Artemis, Eightyfive S, Skip Away Belle.

SECOND RACE
Trickle Trickle...Tough call here. Second-start for Pletcher is a solid angle. And this one showed some speed in the debut and ran in a manner that should provide a good foundation. BUT -- why the drop in for a tag? Hmmm. We'll take a chance however since the price today is $75K and they only paid $50K for him [after working a blazing 9.4 at auction].
Pleasant Prince...Trainer-angle. Ward is potent with these 2YOs firsters sprinting.
Idol Image...Firster worked in 21.1 before auction.

THIRD RACE
Miss FleetfootClaimed two back and looks to be spotted today for owner tends to place them to win.
Eclectic/Boowoogeemalia...Both halves look capable of competing in this spot.
Crazy Thing...Been in the mix more often than not this year.

FOURTH RACE
Loxy Lady...Should be competitive dropping in for a tag, but tread lightly -- we're never too confident with this kind that always seem to find trouble.
Deputy Empress...First off the claim for Dutrow.
Kaleidoscope Sky...Broke maiden for this tag in latest and move to NW2L is not a big jump.
Maria's Moon.
On dirt: Loxy Lady, Kittys Wish, Kaleidoscope Sky, Maria's Moon.

FIFTH RACE
Economic Tsunami...As noted earlier -- firster 2YOs sprinting are a specialty of the trainer.
Jersey Shore Girl...Some precocious breeding.
Artistic Ability...City Zip on top makes her a contender in first start.

SIXTH RACE
Prince Woodman...Let's look for a rebound with the return to grass.
I've Got Speed/Sly...I've Got Speed preferred. Should be rolling late. Prince Woodman fits with this bunch.
Chitoz...Might dominate with the class relief.

On dirt: Dragon Fi, Super Shape, Executive Fleet, Pygmalion.

SEVENTH RACE
Heirness...Nice breeding and working well.
Stormy Union...Also has some win-early breeding.
Restless song...Same here.
Never Dream.

EIGHTH RACE - John's Call $94K
Always First...Graded-stakes marathon performer should be a cozy fit in here.
Mission Approved...Speed is very often dangerous at these routes.
Old Man Buck...Has a little bit of back class.
Silver Mountain.
On dirt: Nite Light, Alaazo, Lord Kipling, Old Man Buck, Up to No Good.

NINTH RACE
Emma's Posse/Proud Ruler...Both look to fit with this bunch.
Tar Beach...Dangerous moving in for a tag.
Gulf Cat...Could be the one to catch. Hasn't missed the board in seven lifetime starts.
Nemo Landing.

TENTH RACE
Alexandrite Ring...We feel this one is better than the record indicates. Trouble last time. Maybe today.
AP Light...This one is moving in the right direction.
Mambo Chachacha...Hard to ignore that huge closing effort to win the career debut. We'll know more about this one after this race.
Red Hot Bullet.
On dirt: Lorraine in Spain, Delectable Cat, AP Light, Red Hot Bullet, Musical Splendor, Stephen's Even.
