Ginger Punch/Spring Waltz... Defending divisional champ Ginger Punch has been a little light Beyer-wise in the last two, but they were both good efforts -- a third to the super-talented Zenyatta followed by a convincing win last time. She's still the one to beat. Entry-mate Spring Waltz on the other hand comes into this with a couple of solid-Beyer wins.
Golden Velvet...Seems to be improving with each start since arriving stateside.
Moon Catcher...Her best puts her in the thick of this.

Atoned...Just missed for us in the G3 Tampa Bay Derby at 9-1 and then flopped next two. Might have benefitted from two month break.
Cool Coal Man...Won G2 Fountain of Youth then flopped in G1 Blue Grass and G1 Ky Derby. Should find this spot more to his liking.
Mr Universe...Lightly-raced. Last seems to indicate he's figured it out.

Pure Clan...Been facing the best in the division on dirt -- should have an edge on these.

Pyro...Has something to prove here after flopping in G1 Blue Grass and G1 Ky Derby. But it's hard to believe that the six nice races prior to those two were flukes.

Texas Wildcatter...Like Atoned at Monmouth today -- this is one that got squeaked out of a win for us early on the Derby Trail and subsequently flopped twice. Capable in here if able to recapture that prior good form.

Old Man Buck...Was solid on the turf as a 2YO. Makes belated 3YO debut today -- but if he comes back with some freshman to sophomore improvement he could prove tough.

Grasshopper...Flopped in the mud at Pimlico. Expect better today.
Einstein...Turf runner missed a start on the grass at Belmont due to licensing technicalities -- so they wind up here. Iffy selection for us. He's capable if he can transfer his turf form to dirt -- big "if" however.

Danzon...Third start of 2008 -- the first two haven't jumped off the page. Third in this race last year. Suspect she's primed to improve.
