Vacare...Very lightly-raced 5YO backed up promise shown as a 3YO with a solid season last year. Back from layoff -- but trainer is OK in that area.
Criminologist...Ended last year in fine fashion and is now third off the layoff.
Bit of Whimsy...4YO debut was disappointing but have a feeling she's better than that.

Tale of Ekati...There's not a lot of pace here -- this guy should be able to stalk just off of the early front-runners and get first jump. Clearly needs to step it up -- but has shown some flashes and with only seven lifetime starts might still have some upside potential to draw from.
Denis of Cork...Toss the G2 Illinois Derby and the record is solid. G1 Ky Derby third was decent.
Big Brown...Absolutely capable of making us look stupid ranking him this low. If he runs to what's on the printed PPs he towers over these. But gut instinct -- and ten Tripe Crown misses in this third leg since the last sweep -- says that this race is never a gimme. Got taken off of his schedule slightly with the foot problem. Again, if all systems are go and he runs his race it's 'game over' -- but we're willing to take a shot against with a full field going 12F.
Ready's Echo...Only the fifth career start and Beyers are moving in the right direction. Will be rolling late.
Anak Nakal...Over the past few years it hasn't been unusual for Zito to sneak in a bomb to hit the board in the Triple Crown events.
