Silmaril...Md-invader has looked solid so far in 2007.

Maizelle...Expensive yearling purchase is now a lightly-raced 4YO from Pletcher. Has shown some flashes and fits with these.
Peak Maria's Way...Tossed in a few efforts last year that put her in the thick of this and should be fit in second start of the year.

Street Magician...The first three starts seemed to portend a budding star - then came the flop in the G3 Withers. Let's toss that and look for a rebound with return to sprint.

Finallymadeit...Decent third to the talented Weigelia last time -- now back with own age-group.

Grigorieva...French-import beaten at 4-5 in US debut in a good effort after some early trouble. Look for her to benefit from that and go better today.

Soaring By...Believe this Pletcher 3YO hasn't shown his best yet. Willing to overlook the two graded stakes clunkers and expect a decent try today.
Chelokee...Has plenty of buzz off of his Florida form -- but we're not convinced yet. Bypassed the G1 Preakness for this spot and is the one to beat.
Silver Express...Should fit with this bunch.

Cosmonaut...After a steady diet of G1 competition he easily handled an alw field at KEE last time. Should be primed for a good effort this afternoon.
Remarkable News...Consistently solid winner of over half of his starts.
Einstein...While this one is kind of inconsistent but clearly capable on his best.

Hesanoldsalt...Zito trainee might be hitting best form as a 4YO.
Flashy Bull...Has been showing improving numbers through first three starts of 2007.
Sunriver...Knocked heads with some of the best of his division last year -- but seasonal debut wasn't much.

Street Sense...Having lost half of his lifetime starts means he's not invincible. Clearly at the top of the class -- but he hits the honor roll when racing over Churchill strip. So there are question marks. But the 'new shooters' in here don't conjure up the likes of Bernardini. And with only three starts under his belt this year this guy should still have gas in the tank. Recent work is added encouragement.
Hard Spun...Super-solid effort in the G1 Ky Derby. The big work week prior to that race and the speedball style last time could have taken something out of him, but he came into that race off of a loooong layoff so he should also be fairly fresh.
Circular Quay...His layoff prior to the Derby might have been his undoing. We'll know more after this race -- but he should be tighter and there's no denying that this G1 winner has plenty of talent.
CP West...Warning -- son't ignore this guy in your gimmick wagering. Zito has fired live shots in these Triple Crown races before and we don't have to go back any further than last year when Hemingway's Key completed the tri and 29-1. That one came into the race off a solid work over the training strip at Saratoga. Meanwhile this one fired a near-bullet (2/107) at Belmont five days ago. Third start of season and stretching off of two one-turn races.

Worldy...Beyer fig might be a touch light for this but with only four lifetime starts he has plenty of upside. Euro-import won US debut and second-place finisher Silent Soul won next out with an improved number. Look for this one to move forward as well.
Yario...Another invader from across the pond. Will attract plenty of attention off of the win last time -- but don't forget that was over the downhill course, something of a different animal.
