Total for the meet... $986.75
RECOUNT!... Thanks to an eagle-eyed reader who dropped us a line regarding Saturday's results, stating, "Your picks lost less money I believe as your turf bets became null and void by your qualification. It's tough enough; don't cheat yourself!" Amen, brother!
With Saturday's 5th and 9th washed off the turf that actually voided $13.00 worth of plays -- not only that, but when we went back to re-calculate we realized we had our bet total off to begin with... Long story-short... Rather than an $18.25 loss on Saturday we actually only dropped $2.25. The total listed above for today includes the corrected amount.
We started the 2006 Saratoga thoroughbred race meet with a mythical bankroll of $1000. Each day we'll use this space to record our mythical best bets and calculate the accumulated wins and losses.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halve are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
